Also me: “I should drive my 400+ horsepower, rear wheel drive sports car. ”
Also, also, me: “It’s 2° away from freezing now . Whoops. At least the gas line will be short”

When I got serious about replacing my del Sol, I was cross-shopping Wranglers with S2000s. Test driving an S2000 was the first time in decades I had driven any RWD car, and I was amazed at how easy it was to break the rear tires loose on mildly wet surfaces.
Now after driving the Jeep for a few years, I’m more comfortable with the idea of a RWD sports car, hope to get one eventually.

I could barely post text whole waiting in line. Costco is a black whole of service.

It ain’t how much you’ve got, it’s how you use it.

Ooooohhhh no you don’t! We’re already dealing with one lexus in a ditch on oppo, we don’t need any more!

I didn’t know you had a sports car....

3/32 treads on my car now. 328HP, RWD (for the most part) and it’s fun with close to freezing rain and light dusting of snow.
I am not stupid enough to turn off Stability and traction control off though.

You’re not driving a convertible in snow yet. You’re fine.

Big engine, small car, relatively expensive to maintain . Check about all the boxes.

If it snows around here I can count on Infiniti Gs and BMW 3/5s being the first victims.

F unny I have now owned both. the 3 had xDrive with all seasons and was pretty good in the snow (which we get 3 days a year <2 inches).

Wow around here it’s all 4x4s and SUVs in the ditches on the highways when it snows (seriously).

It always seems to snow around mid afternoon so everyone on their way home ends up in a ditch. People are deathly scared of the snow so after that it’s pretty chill or vehicles that can actually handle it. Not just 4x4 SUVs.

People around here generally are used to driving in snow - so it’s the overconfident idiots in 4x4s that end up the ditches.
They’re also the same clowns doing the speed limit or greater when we get 6+ inches, not so coincidentally. They don’t seem to grasp that 4WD doesn’t help you steer or stop very much.
